Remember a couple of years ago when so many people were saying “I don’t know why we need a national system of health care. I’m perfectly happy with my employer-provided health insurance.”? I wonder how many of those people are now unemployed.
I diligently paid my disability insurance for years at work, meanwhile wondering why the premiums were so low. What they don’t tell you is that in 99% of cases, you’ll lose your job before you can claim disability.
