We had our weight workout stuff in our house and when we moved gave it to the local YMCA. I helped them carry it down as hubby’s back was hurting him. The guy on the other side said you’re so tiny how can you lift that. After we had it down, I made a muscle with my arm and he went to touch it and said "Holy freaking cow and called the other guy over and said "check out her arm muscles and they were all amazed. My legs were all tight too along with the rest of my body. When we got to LV we went and got a bench since that was all we needed as we still had all our weights and bars too. Marty where I worked in LV would check my arm out each morning.
The wife and I are ‘workout warriors’ even into our 60s. As uniquename suggests above, it ain’t a lot of fun while doing it, but the results and benefits are WELL worth it. We even use our equipment downstairs for something other than hanging clothes. Our cats even help us out when doing floor exercises, lol.

And when he cries, he says “I’m not crying. My eyes are sweating.”

“My muscles are crying: ‘Stop! Enough already!’”

I’d rather be sweating than admit my muscles are crying. Sweating means you’ve been working hard, “crying muscles” can be taken as a sign of weakness.

I know that feeling a little too well. On the other hand, I can do physical stuff and not feel exhausted. I hate working out, but I like the results.

This morning I returned to lap swimming for the first time in 15 months. It was tough! Apparently certain muscles hadn’t been used for 15 months.

This will be used again. Ad nauseum.
