Sounds like the perfect turn-around. Not that he didn’t fit in with them, but they didn’t fit in with him.
That’s life. Sometimes it takes a little wearing to find a fit. Worked for me. Found a few jobs I liked ok but not the workplace environment so ran out my string [tolerance]. Added a little cash and the experience to my pack, collected my W-2’s, dug up another job offer, then split. Eventually found both job and environment that I liked and all those other experiences helped make it work.

or how to use you apparently. My co-workers never did figure out how or what to make of me. However, I was used by my employers for many many years….
