I am so lucky, I don’t get any telemarketers. Only calls I get are from people that want to buy a house I sold last year. I tell them I’ll meet them there the next day a 6pm. (I’m in FL, house in AZ)

Had a “first” yesterday when I had a telemarketer / scam artist hang up on me. It was soooo close but they just beat me to it.

My phone makes that sound. The first time I heard it, I went to see who was at the door.

Just go to ‘block’ and hang up. They call back with another number. Repeat.

Phone mfgs have a kinda skewed vision of the needs of average user. My household phone has capacity to save hundreds of ‘important’ numbers although I need less than dozen. But the call-block capacity is limited to 200 numbers, when I need room for hundreds. Go figure.

Someone’s knocking at the door, someone’s ringing the bell. Do me a favor and don’t answer it. They always come at supper time. Are you expecting a knock knock joke?

ANYWAY, not a bad idea, if you’re the telemarketer. People used to the jokes, might automatically say “Who’s there?”.
