Funny, with me it’s, the higher the gas prices, the higher the speed limit seems to be.

Dad was a railroad engineer. In his later years, he compared life to boarding a train that had no conductor, no scheduled stops, and no time table. There was only one known destination, which one reached only after being shunted into sidings for various periods. Considering my life, I can’t argue with that.

The longer you are on the highway of life the more often your car needs service.

mathematically speaking, of course, every day is a smaller %-age of one’s life span, so that’s probably part of the problem. ;-)

It only seems like the speed limit gets faster, it’s actually more a case of you slowing down.

“Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you’ve got about a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: ‘God dåmn it, you’ve got to be kind.’” —Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007), American writer, words of Eliot Rosewater in God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater
