I rode for years and never wore leather, even the night that I went down while doing 95mph. Car pulled out in front of me and while trying to avoid her and the oncoming traffic I ended up laying it down. I went bouncing down the road and up under her car. A 750 Suzuki totaled. I went to the hospital and was treated and released. I had sore places and things I could no longer do for years!!!
