FRAZZ BY JEF MALLETT Caulfield: You know things evolve over time. Frazz: That's the definition. Caulfield: Want to hear how TIME evolves over THINGS? Frazz: How long will this take? Caulfield: There you go. It depends. If we were prehistoric, it wouldn't matter, because we wouldn't have any things to measure time with. Later, this discussion would have taken from this shadow to that shadow. Further on, it would last from, say, a quarter of something until a quarter after something, on a watch you had to wind. Then, of course, it all went digital. And you hardly need a watch because everything has a clock on it. Frazz: So, at the very pinnacle of the evolution of time, how long does this discussion take? Caulfield: Until Mrs. Olsen is done with multiplication drills.
