Those back-to-school sales always ruined my summer. Both as a student, and as a teacher!

I’m just trying to catch up on reading the Thursday comments before bed, though Friday’s strips are already up …..Kinda funny to me, the past arc was all about the Coach learning to rhyme…..and TWO people “yesterday” (still today to me) posted the same Margaritaville lyric for him ….. sigh….. without the rhyme.Jimmy Buffet wrote “Some people CLAIM that there’s a woman to blame…..Much better, no?

Sorry so many posts but @Varnes — Back to school sales have been going on since early July around here.I know I’m a total nerd but I love looking at notebooks and pens…the smell of pencils and crayons…..Always makes me want to go back to school. But alas, I think you have to pass under a sign that says “you must be this short to start kindergarten…”

I feel shorts. I do not see "Back to School sales I feel shorts.

I’ll wear shorts when I go prep my classroom today, we get kids next week, waaaaaahhhhhhhh!

I know people who wear shorts all year. Hat, gloves, winter coat, shorts! Kinda wierd to me but if they’re comfy who am I to say.

Unless I’m doing something that really does require jeans, I do wear shorts all year. Nice to live in such a climate, eh?

@*Leon*: I tend to think that, too, except—I went all the way through school, including college, wearing skirts. And I lived in Colorado and Kansas. (Believe me, it’s lots colder in Kansas than Colorado when you’re trekking across a hill top with your arms full of books!)

Altho kids today wear “shorts” that are so long and baggy, that they really can’t be called shorts, at least like the ones I wore when I was a kid.

So little of his legs are exposed that it hardly matters.

I used to have a job where I could wear shorts to work… ahh, the good old days!

Ashburn – There’s already Christmas merchandise in several local stores — some was put out 6 weeks ago.Mostly only discount places that probably bought it all last January and are eager to sell it — nonetheless June is WAY too early!

Places are already putting Halloween stuff out here…

Saying that while wearing a coverall all year round is not that convincing
