Rain never stops us Oregonians! We just wait 10 minutes! lol!

This is so accurate today in southern Michigan, where this strip takes place, that it’s kinda spooky, given the lead time for comics…it’s 40º right now. June 2. It was 90º in mid March….

I begged for a 55 deg day in February, but all we got was higher. Now in June we’re getting them.

Move to Seattle and you’ll get a lot of 55 degree days in June! At least the last couple years. :(

Yeah, the local paper is running a contest to see who can guess when our first “official” 100 degree day will be. I’m betting it won’t be long. When I got in my car at the office the other day, the temperature gauge read 110 (!) at 6 PM. (And yes, it was a closed car sitting in the sun for four hours, but Texas summers are still not for the faint of heart.)

It was 55 degrees this morning here in Atlanta, now it’s 68.

Last year it was so hot in Texas in the summer that friends came to visit me in Canada because “it’s got to be cooler there”. Yeaaaaaaaa! Maybe that will happen again.

I’ve lived in Dallas for several years, and yes Texas is bad, but I’ve seen worse. Where my husband’s family is from (Natchez, Miss.) they have 4 seasons:Almost SummerSummerStill Summerand Christmas.

Nope. Not gonna happen. I escaped Texas more than 20 years ago and you can keep it. What’s more, I was at the dry, more tolerable end.

If you enjoy it, great. If you don’t, move. It works.

I live in Seattle; when people complain about the rain (even natives do it sometime) I mention that the one of the reasons that I live here is that I prefer green hills year round instead of brown hills 9 months of the year.
