I don’t get Mallet! I wonder how anyone doesn’t see Calvin and Hobbes in his work. Well, one difference is, Calvin was allowed to be a child, whereas Mallet’s children are usually goody two shoes!

Ha! Good one, that. “Yes, and we all know how funny good role models are.”

I had read somewhere that Frazz is Calvin, after he grew up.

There is no way that Frazz is Calvin grown up. Not a chance. Frazz is Mallet’s own creation, not a copy/spinoff/steal from anyone else.

Caulfield is a subtle Calvin.

Re: Frazz’s T-shirt – My first impression was a suspension bridge, too. But then, given the subject matter, another possibility came to mind – an EKG readout. I don’t know much about what they are supposed to look like, so this could be completely off the mark. Just a wild guess.

Over simplification error. Sitting still is not bad for you. Sitting for prolonged periods of time is bad for you.
