Caulfield: Would you rather drive 6 comfortable hours, or fly 6 cramped hours but end up farther away? Frazz: I'd rather ride a bike 6 hours and end up where I started. Caulfield: Since when do you get to add your own answer? Frazz: Since it's the right answer.

Frazz — the font of the right answer. Even when it comes from left field.

Going nowhere fast, truly a commendable goal.

Drive… comfortable? Where? I’ll have that non-existent option…

Frazz needs to spandex his horizons.

Flying in to visit the US with my hubby. I’m dreading the 7 hours of flight.

I think you get to add your own answer when it’s a stupid question. If you want to get to a particular place, you need to decide between 6 hours of driving or 1 hour of uncomfortable flying (for example). If you want to travel for a particular length of time, how far you get is irrelevant.

I’d rather drive 30 hours than fly 5 hours. And I have, repeatedly, between cities about 2000 miles apart.

The journey is the destination.

I don’t mind flying. It’s the nonsense in the airports at each end which make me prefer driving.

It’s the hours of toro pie at the airports.

It’s only the right answer in your own little world, Frazz. Your variation of Adam Savage’s “I reject your reality and substitute my own!”

Yeh, Caulfield would NEVER do that to Mrs. Olsen !

I was disputing Frazz’s insistence that he had the right answer. He can’t legitimately add an extra choice when asked which of two things he would prefer, but he could have pointed out that there was a fault in the question, which is what I was trying to do. Contrived, as bigpuma says, is a better way of describing it.

Insufficient information. What’s the destination in either case? My answer would depend on the selection of destinations.

God, I hate people who do that. Answer the question with the choices given, there is no third option!
