Caulfield: So I caught a piece on planet money about cornering markets. And it occurred to me: Valentine's Day is on a Sunday this year. As in Sunday color comics sections. Frazz: I see where you're going here. Caulfield: I bought up all the red ink I could and goosed the price to match demand. Frazz: Are you going to split the profits with planet money? Caulfield: Why not? Twix bars come already divided in two. Frazz: Man, they've shrunk the funnies. Caulfield: If I'd done this in the eighties I'd have college all paid for.
I know a guy who used to be a toilet-paper salesman. Said it was one industry that was absolutely recession-proof.
