Wow. Trump Derangement Syndrome is real, and has infected another cartoonist. On top of that, he pretty much gets Christmas wrong, as if God came to live among us for a few years to “fix” a few problems we were having at the time. I think I’m done with Frazz. I read comics for entertainment, not for irritation. I can get that pretty much anywhere else.
Sometimes it seems as if the story of the three magi and their bringing gifts has had a greater impact on how to celebrate this holiday, than any other part of the story. Else why so much emphasis on Black Friday and similar ’let’s make a deal’ days?
The Lord that destroys is ended. Not that it’s not resurrected. But it notably lacks any substance. It is enshrined in symbolic mysticism. There to safely be left. Sic semper dei.
Kudos to Jeff Mallett, another thought provoking reflection of our world and key to its salvation. ‘Messed up’ has been and always will be the state of world without belief in the Messiah, Jesus. John 13:47 "If anyone hears what I am saying and doesn’t take it seriously, I don’t reject him. I didn’t come to reject the world; I came to save the world. . .“But the next correction to this world will be worse, for many in it, than the flood.
How did the trolls turns an innocent cartoon into another political rant? Some people must live to insert their political agendas into every aspect of life where it is there or not. There was nothing political about this cartoon unless you twisted it to be so. (To the trolls: I am not a fan of Trump so don’t start flaming me as a Trump lover. He was near the bottom of people I wanted, just ahead of Hillary)
Siberian Tiger: When Fox news is the only place that you can get reassurance that Trump isn’t a disaster, you are going to get irritated pretty often. You have two choices if you want to avoid that irritation. You can either limit your interaction with the world to Fox news, or you can accept the fact that Trump is a disaster. When the truth irritates you, stop believing lies.
Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: “I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth. Genesis 9: 8-11
In the immortal words of Adam Young, “maybe if you stopped telling people it’s all sorted out when they’re dead, they might try sorting it out while they’re still alive.”
It’s funny how the Bible gets such a gentle reputation when it’s also a collection of very messy books with appallingly flawed characters doing unspeakable things to one another. If those books were a section of the library or bookstore instead of bound up into one colossally perennially best-selling anthology, parents would be keeping their smaller children out of that section.
Anyway, it’s worth remembering about some of those books: If everything is going along just hunky dory in the desert, Christmas never happens.Frazz by Jef Mallett for Dec 22, 2017 | GoComics.com
FRAZZ’ “NOAH’S ARK” COMMENT IS NON BIBLICAL! FRAZZ IS REFERRING TO A “SAFE COMMUNITY”, LIKE AN ARK IN A STORM, MANAGED BY A “NOAH”, WHO ACTUALLY EXISTS! FRAZZ WANTS THE OPTION OF SELECTING HIS OWN “SAFE COMMUNITY” RATHER THAN HAVING TO “REPLAY” SOMEONE ELSE’S SCRIPT ONCE AGAIN BY ACCEPTING A RELOCATION TO NOAH’S PLANNED COMMUNITY! THESE THREE PANELS ARE EXTREMELY ACCURATE!

An issue that has always perplexed me … If Anno Domini is the number of years since Jesus’ birth, why aren’t New Years Day and Christmas Day the same?

Thanks, Jef, for a provocative plea for all people to get along. Definitely in the spirit of Christmas.

Interesting background in today’s strip. To me, it evokes an open, snow covered field.

Don’t know where your ‘bomb’ reference originated. Not mentioned in my comment. Apologize if I misstated something

But you misunderstand! Trump Derangement Syndrome applies to the 31% who still actually believe his lies. I hope I cleared that up for you.

This thread is yet another classic example of why GoComics should get read of that horrible new “Featured Comment” idiocy.

I agree. “The Featured Comment" feature is absolutely stupid and senseless.
