Funny how a little pressure can speed things up.

I used to finish my homework during class also.

I always got my homework done ASAP. I hated having it “over my head” and spoiling the rest of the day/weekend.

With Caulfield it’s more a matter of annoying Mrs. Olsen. That’s his hobby. However, I think there is a silent but mutual respect between them

In answer to the question, 90% finished and on time would be preferable. I’m still trying to figure out how to quantify tardiness by percent. Turning in early, I can see that. If a project is due in 5 days, and it is turned in a day early, he turned it in 20% early, but once it’s late, it’s late.

It’s called ‘mutual accommodation’-,’ i.e., an unspoken agreement between equals. More of that would mean fewer problems in many areas.

ANY amount late meant you scored 0 on the assignment where I came from. The theory was that they weren’t just teaching the subject matter, they were also teaching responsibility and time management.

Reading all these comments/posts reminds me why I "Graduated’ from all that “Schooling” right after the second grade! Never went back to the place, Just like @KUNDDOG, wrote, I have spent my time experiencing life, No sweat! (And I learned how to survive the rat race, And you know what? And I’m one of the harsh ones with regard to 10% late. Shoot, my ethic is that either you’re early, on time or late. And I might be lying about the middle one. It’s not rare for me to get into a mood where if you’re exactly on time, you’re late.

Until it’s me. Sometimes it is, but then I’m 50% likely to have an excuse that’s 95% satisfying to me but 100% transparent 99% of the 2% who are even listening.

I don’t know why people have trouble with percentages. At least not in this modern age, when we’ve learned it’s acceptable to just make them up.

Hmm, seems to be a question like “Do you walk to school or bring your own lunch?”
