Have to agree with Mallett. Might not be his purpose, but for me today’s election outcome will decide if the sun will shine on or set on the promise of the next 4 years and maybe the next decade. It is just now rising here. It looks a little fuzzy around the edges.
Frazz15 hrs · As I type this, it is still Election Day, barely. The polls are closed and I’m sure the results are trickling in and I have no idea where anything is leaning. This is deliberate. I’ve cast my votes* and I’ve never seen the benefits of stressing myself out over an outcome I can’t affect. And so I’ve been working, trying to be funny, while listening to Jerry Seinfeld’s new book about being a lot funnier than me. So there’s some effective compartmentalization for you, and while I’ll never be successful in quite the same way as Seinfeld, it’s a stress that I’m still in a position to do at least a little about.
And that’s just tonight. Last night, to you. As you read this, roughly half of the country will be unhappy with what we know, if we know anything at all, and if we don’t know, we’ll be unhappy about that. That much I did know in advance: I’d be playing to an unhappy house, with very poor odds, but still morally and contractually obligated to go on with the show. What to do, what to do?
I don’t know if everybody else on the comics pages has resorted to burp and fart humor, but wouldn’t it be great if they all did?

Funny that Mallett refers to a strip that is not carried on GoComics.

My humor pallet is much harder to reach the simpler it goes.

I don’t find such alleged “jokes” funny. Not since I was 10 at least.
