If you asked the grass, it probably would prefer that you didn’t conserve resources.

In AZ we’re getting the monsoon, I visited friends whose grass – previously brown – was green and up to 2 feet tall.

I have a big sycamore that knows this. It started shedding some bark and leaves.

If you water the grass, you have to mow it more often.

That’s why I don’t water my lawn.

I wish someone would tell my yard about this dormant thing – brown grass is always followed by dust.

“Why is there grass?”

“Whoa, man, really deep question! Lemme think about it while I finish off this plate of brownies. Maybe I’ll have a good answer after my nap.”

Personally, I think this would work better if the colorist had actually made the grass brown.

Our grass is as green as could be: the condo people water it auto, even in the daily rain.

Only the very young are granted deep, restful sleep. The older one gets, the more the world occupies our minds, even while we are supposedly resting. Although I have to admit, sleeping through 2 meals is a bit farfetched for someone that young. Their usual feeding schedules seem to operate on 15 minute intervals.

If you water it too much the roots won’t grow deep enough
