It is nice to have an adult conversation once in a while.

You may have to be older — or at least more experienced — than Caulfield to enjoy a conversation with Mrs. Olsen.

Caulfield just can’t resist a quick quip, even if it isn’t that witty. I can relate to that: I quite often should add SCNR in Twitter et al.

Most of the things that occur with the greatest impacts on everything go unnoticed by most People and the few that do notice the event rarely grasp the full scope and reach of those impacts.The classic example of this to me is how the World as known in the past (and still falsely perceived to continue) actually ended in 1945 and has been undergoing major Evolutionary changes on a constant basis ever since and we’re just unable to keep up with it.

At this point the variance is just too great for anyone with any reason or senses to fail to notice that something isn’t right.

An asteroid hit effect would more likely be if Caulfield had a delightful discussion with Mrs. Olsen or even Mr. Spaetzle.

The only unprecedented thing to happen recently is the unprecedented misuse of the word unprecedented.

Caulfield is too young to know our old fogey expression about hell freezing over.

Asteroid hits on Earth are actually quite common. Fortunately, there have not been any significant ones since the currently dominant species of primates evolved.

When a caldera explodes like Toba did things become just as bad as if a large asteroid hit.

It must have been due to covid! Or Trump! or Biden! Alert the papers! Mark the calendar!

I wonder what would happen if Mrs Olsen got together with Mrs Godfrey.

There are large asteroid impacts and LARGE asteroid impacts. A truly large asteroid impact would liquefy the planet and wipe out all life.
