He seems overly concerned about a meaningless phrase.

I didn’t know there was an inappropriate time to quote Voltaire.

In future I might use this strip in reaction to tweets illustrating the text “TMI”. Or to those of questionable quotes.

Inside out underwear is uncomfortable.

So on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Caulfield is a specious little superhero!

So we have an eight year old quoting Voltaire. Let’s take it to the max. Let’s suppose he reads it in the original language.

The string on this arc is stretched very thin. But only another day or so to go so maybe it will end well.

Have said in past Mallet centers way too much on just two characters with similar dialogues. In my years in the classroom I found there was something humorous going on every day and rarely involving only one kid.

Yeah, I realize writing/drawing a comic is not an easy job and devising new themes daily is much harder than the average job, and I truly admire anyone who can do it successfully. But a little variety sometimes freshens the spirit and the outlook.

Wearing underpants inside out almost every other day seems less like a strategy to ward of normality, and more like someone lazy wth poor hygiene.

Given the way climate change is headed, in 40 years we’ll be referring to the “nude normal”.

I remember my quoting Voltaire phase in junior high….the folly of youth…
