The best reason is more or less “central” to male physicality!

Why does anyone wears tights on a hot summer day? And usually black?

I like my jeans and walking shorts 3/4 length. Kinda sorta like BASKETBALL SHORTS.

I wonder how Caufield would think about shorts in the ’70s?

Several years ago, when my wife and I were traveling around Spain on one of our wedding anniversary trips, we noticed that a lot of the young Spaniard males (young male Spaniards?) were trending in Capris, long a staple of all ages of women back in the states. Wife suggested I should try them and I gave her two valid reasons: 1, I am not a young Spaniard male and, 2, I don’t want my older male coworkers to think I’ve gone soft.

Don’t wear those while walking thru tall grass or in the woods. Ticks, y’know. They just love bare legs, and yours look particularly tender and tasty.

Some young women are starting to opt for comfort while remaining feminine.

“We’re men, we’re men in tights” Caulfield obviously isn’t thinking of the several hundred years when all the stylish gents wore hose and a codpiece.

I used to wear tights in winter to keep my legs warm on my bike. Sometimes I would wear long underwear under my tights, and when it got really cold another pair of tights over the first and the long underwear. That was mainly for the windchill, because I generated my own windchill as I was riding.
