please don’t encourage feeding chocolate to dogs; it is highly toxic and some dogs could get very sick or die from reading this comic (which I love). Thank you.
Take a minute and Google choc-drops. This happens twice a year when ever Fred gets a treat in the strip. Besides real chocolate and dogs is an exaggeration anyway!
I’m too cute to eat chocolate. My cats knocked a bag of chicken jerky dog treats out of the cabinet and I ate the whole thing. My human is not happy with me.

Good Lord! Any regular Fred reader knows that Choc-Drops are dog treats and have no real chocolate!

Good reminder that ‘real’ chocolate is not good for your pets!

Are Choc-drops British? I’ve never heard of those. Some kind of chocolate flavored treat that’s safe for pooches?

PS I’m with Fred. For all that, you should at least give him 2 or three. Loosen up with the treats, Pops.

Fred is a cartoon; he can eat whatever he wants! Go Fred!

I provided a link to the dog treat Choc Drop in my first comment. They are British and they are real. Fred’s family knows what’s good for him!
I say fire the Spanish translator!

As drawn, Fred is very close to the ideal weight for a basset hound.

I>And most “Chocolate” treats for dogs are made with Cacao.
All ‘chocolate’ treats for dogs I’ve ever seen in Britain are made from Carob.
If they aren’t where you live, complain to the manufacturers.
