I was a casual reader of Fred Basset until a few years ago, when I started following every day. So it’s interesting to see the development of all the characters.
I was first exposed to the Fred Basset comic in the 1960s in the Chicago Tribune. Back in those days the twins seemed to be Fred’s enemies. In the present day Fred gets along well with them and other children. BTW, I turned 69 today [8/28/2023].

Fred, you are about to become “Sir Isaac Basset” if that string breaks! Don’t worry, they will go back to school soon!

You’ll love each other in a few years, Fred. And you do survive ’til then.

Since when have the ‘twins’ become so contentious with our Fred ?. The twins I remember are usually Fred’s favorite ‘play persons’.

Someone should William Tell on them. And don’t forget to duck, Fred.

Interesting. At the start of this comic the Tucker Twins were little terror twins

Maybe it’s just me but there seems to be a lot of negative strips lately. And please get the original artist back.
