    I was told, a long, long time ago that the concept of the neck tie goes back to the days when men of faith wore prayer shawls. In time, when those became ‘politically incorrect’ men adapted a smaller version worn about the neck as a subtle replacement to the shawl. perhaps just urban legend…but I like the way it sounds.

Post) It is a foolish and (IMHO) uncomfortable fashion. But not as uncomfortable as the high heels that many women may wear.
