WOW, yesterday, while shoveling I looked up and saw a plate of metal covering under the roof, which hangs over a bit, was sagging. I reached up with the shovel to tap it back into place and OUT came a bird, half way. Waited and s/he finally left, barely squeezing out.
I once picked up a fledgling Cardinal once and climbed the tree to put him/her back in the nest. saw him a few days later flying around. score one for the good guys!
