Loving old pictures like Teresa and knowing she reads these comments, I thought I’d share one of my favorite types of photos, Autochromes. They are color process invented in 1907 (!) but not too many people have heard of them. But it’s amazing to see color photos from 100 years ago.
Today’s photos:

Doing an image search for “autochrome” turns up a lot of cool photos. Thanks for the daily blog, Teresa.
jtpozenel those photographs are amazing. Thank you for sharing those web sites. I intend to share them with some of my artist and photographer friends.
@jtpozenel - Thanks for those! They’re really cool. It’s interesting to see the trade-off of the two technologies. The autochromes was a single shot process, which means you could get more spontaneous shots, but the Prokudin-gorsky method produced better quality color, but the shots clearly took a lot of set-up and time.

I heard about an acquaintance of a friend who got thrown in jail for threatening to eat his estranged wife’s toes.
Kind of a scary threat, because who would say something like that unless it was something they’d actually done in the past?

Bark! Bark! –Be careful with your threats: I have a Pink Pearl, and I know how to use it!

According to Frog Blog, Teresa drew this dog on a Post-It Note. She didn’t say if it was permanent ink, Sisyphos.
