My friend went to grade school with the creator, Don Hertzfeldt, here in Northern California. He said Hertzfeldt always had a sketch book with him everywhere he went, and he went through a lot of them because he filled them up with cartoons so fast.

The bunny looks a bit like Mordred in the current “Dick Tracy.” The aliens started with Dick Locher and are working their way up the food chain.
