Those self-harm photos that keep appearing on the blog make me wonder if Teresa is trying to tell us something.

If the Facebook version of you is a cat, don’t be surprised if your account is canceled. Facebook is cracking down on “nonhuman” accounts.

Thomas had nothing on me when it comes to trust issues. Did the cat do that?

    Dear Teresa

I noticed that those nice people who superintend the GoComics web site (I think you refer to them as “Overlords” (a bit strident, don’t you think my dear?)) published a special Mother’s Day collection of comics yesterday. There were lots of Calvin & Hobbes strips, several Cul de Sacs, and even a Doozies. However, I didn’t notice a single FA or Garfield. Based on this I can only conclude that future FA offerings will include more references to lasagna.

    Sincerely,

    Rotifer’s Mother

P.S. Speaking of Garfield, I couldn’t help but notice he’s using another hilarious nap gag today while you’ve apparently wandered off into uncharted “art” swamps again. “Creative” is a nice word, but I’ll bet Bill Keane’s banker would tell you that there’s nothing wrong with “predictable,” “conventional” or “looks good imprinted on tee shirts, coffee mugs, and baseball caps” either.

It would be convenient if all women who can’t be trusted had that message tattooed to their faces.

this may be hard to believe, and maybe it was just an illusion, but in reading today’s Family Circus, the corners of my mouth actually started an upward movement that could have been interpreted as a smile. well, loosely interpreted, anyway.

which is the closest I can remember ever being close to a LOL at a Bill Keane creation

however, my IDA KNOW t-shirt sure helps me pick up babes in bars, even the ones who can’t be trusted

Isn’t it fascinating how many “body builder” types die of heerat atacks??

Today’s strip reminds me of that old song, “You’r lips tell Me ‘No! No!,’ but there’s wee wee in your eyes!”

I confess, I never understood those lyrics.

Terry Pratchett’s steel sword, which contains some bits of meteoric iron ore. He smelted the metal and then assisted a blacksmith in forging, hardening and tempering it.

locoowl, the “weewee” could be “oui, oui.” There’s an Arthur Fields song from WW I called “Oui, Oui, Marie.” That might be the inspiration for those lyrics.

Those eyes look a bit like the cover art for “The Great Gatsby.”

What is it with GoComics (and they will soon be the only (almost) game in town)? They don’t load FA; they keep dropping comics from my list; drop my account so I have to sign in. And they are taking over for comics.com. I’m not happy.

Re vainglory: I’ve seen that a lot. Didn’t the Eagles have a song about that - “Life in the Fast Lane”?

Looks like the Poster Child has designs on the Poster Cat. From the position of the Poster Cat’s ears, we can gather that the Poster Cat is definitely not a Happy Camper!

    @BillThompson -

Thanks for the clarification. That line was one of my first wife’s favorite jokes. She had an odd sense of humor. After all, she married me!

I think there’s an H missing somewhere. And it’s not after the “me”.
