The original Yiddish word is “פֿאַרקאַקט”. Since it is a Yiddish word, it has been transliterated as ferkakt, varkakt, fakakta, verkakta, farkakte, and numerous others, depending on how the speaker pronounces it.
It comes from the German Kacke, another word for “Scheiß” – a German dysphemism for “toilet” is “Kackstuhl,” or “crap chair.”

Does everyone see the small dot next to your cursor? I see one. It could mean that my key strokes are being watched on this site.

It seems that FUKAKTA is something like “FUBAR”. The latter is an acronym, however. You all will have to look it up for yourselves, though.

Frank’s son Dweezil does a wonderful job on “Peaches” with his “Zappa Plays Zappa” band. Check out the ZPZ DVD to give it a listen.

The BIRD in the blog post appears to be a Common (Eurasian) Kingfisher. The size and colors/markings match up.
