Comedy in general is in a rut. I read somewhere that “the Big Bang Theory” was a very successful sit-com, so I viewed a few episodes. It was just another re-hash of the ill-mannered child, anthropomorphic animal or alien characters that behave badly and it’s supposed to be funny because they aren’t expected to live by the rules of society. Over the years not much has changed, the settings are much the same. About the only difference between TBBT and Alf is that there’s more sex, and other bodily functions that were considered in poor taste to joke about are now normal fare.
