They’re cattails. The mature flowering spike of a Typha species.

The edible part is the rhizome (the root), which is starchy rather than meaty.

Dancing in the breeze, as someone cuts the cheese..

While admiring the components of the assemblage I identified what appears to be a roof jack vent atop Henry Morton’s opaque projector.

Pourquoi? (maybe it was heat from the oxyhydrogen lamp?)

Its the DNA code for a secret Froglandia species.
