Sadly, this is the formula for dying old, bitter, and alone.

At this point, the caterpillar turns from a crawling worm to enter a chrysalis stage. This is the last generation of monarchs prior to the winter migration. When it emerges again, it will begin the journey south, where it will mate and die.

This is probably not the origins of the phrase, “and then everything went south”.

But one never knows.

I’ve felt the same way about several future ex step mothers-in-law.
