Since Monarch caterpillars are full of nice toxic alkaloids from their Milkweed diet, a reducing aid for sure.

I thought ‘trim’ was a description of the model, perhaps I misread.

Mort Walker (Beetle Bailey, Hi and Lois) died from complications of pneumonia on January 27, 2018 at his home in Stamford, Connecticut. He was 94 years old.

That’s very sad, but a good long life. Thanks for the information.
