Most communities don’t allow hanging clothes out to dry! There is NOTHING that smells so good as sheets dried by the sun and the breeze of a summer day. As always is, what goes around comes around. NO coal, No fracking, NO trump!
The Solar Energy Pioneers would be a good name for an industry-sponsored singing group that could perform at mall openings, county fairs, bar mitzvahs and mass hangings.*
Wouldn’t I love to? It would also save me hundreds of dollars a year in quarters used on the dryers in the complex’s laundry room. Alas, even if it weren’t against policy, having an upstairs apartment limits the possibilities of where to put a line.
My grandson pointed at a hummingbird feeder hanging on a clothesline and asked “What is that?” His mother said “It’s a hummingbird feeder.” “No, not that …” he said, “What is THAT it’s hanging on …?”
I’m glad to live in a country, Ecuador, where we thumb our nose at clothes dryers and salute tendederos (clotheslines), waving our underwear proudly in the breeze!
I use clotheslines unless it’s cold, raining or pollen season. Not much use hanging clean things out to dry if they all turn funky yellow and look worse than before they were washed.
Hey there, Propaganda Twit! My condo does not have a backyard nor a basement. Nor do many urban dwellings. How many bird- and bat-slaughtering wind generators could we shut down?

… what!?! Leave my privates out to dry?…
…is that the general idea?…Little Joe became a runner because he peed the bed and his mother hug his sheet out to dry…
…now I know why they call them bloomers…
…look, Mom, aunt Tillie is growing zeppelins…
…the new Trump flag…
…yet, the same amount of coal was used because this generation of kids were so bad at Christmas time…
…I think he broke his f-ing neck…
…and the storm is going the opposite direction of the wind…
…this reminds me…
…soon it will be political ad season on Tv…

I remember when electricity was touted as “clean energy.” Was it ever? Or am I thinking of nuclear?

Then you could turn your dryer into a fun ride for the neighborhood toddlers! Oh, yeah, that wouldn’t be saving any carbon emissions, would it?

Best of all, the clothing smells and feels so fresh. Unless you live in the city.
