Syrius fits the role of the little brother not just to the animals but to even to Kate perfectly. Including the untidiness. Little boys are known to hate baths, I didn’t as a kid but had many classmates who did. A few were still “stinkers” in their early teens and had to be reminded they were old enough to need to use deodorant, especially after coming home from playing sports.

Sirius and Floof, aka Stinker and Doofus, are the best show I’ve seen in some time.
