Oh my, I hear you. I usually have two cats adding heat as well as weight and it sure does the job.

Floof and Sirius act not only as blanket weights but bedwarmers also.

And, last night Gandalf decided to weight me down by lying on my belly, all 14 lb of him. (Plus the 10 lb that a sleeping cat gains.) This is actually a new behavior for him . . .

Weighted blankets aren’t for everyone.

My dog sleeps under the covers, usually by my feet. I do not miss having new kittens and trying to roll over. They love to get the toes!

My sister lives off-the-grid (literally: no electricity or running water) in the Maine woods; a woodstove is in her heat source in the non-winter. But she has 2 farm collies—and sometimes a cat joins the bed crew, too =)

I appreciate that you got the phase of the moon correct for the day. So many (movies, cartoons, whatever) only know the moon when it’s full, or sometimes a tiny new-moon sliver. Or have a solar eclipse happening two days after full moon (Ladyhawke! aargh! )
