Jon: Have you ever seen such a sad movie in all your life, Garfield? Garfield: Maybe I'm too hardened. Maybe I'm too cynical... But I wasn't that moved by "Flipper Gets the Ick".
Ick is a parasitic illness that fish get that causes white spots, hiding, lack of appetite, and itchy scales (among other things, I’m not a fish expert). Flipper, as a mammal, probably can’t get ick…though there’s plenty of other reasons for this movie to end with Jon in tears.
