back when i was a kid growing up in western ny state, it was very common for snow to fall before halloween…. be wading through a foot of snow (or more) to go trick or treating
Just noticed Garfield inside the pumpkin in the Title frame - doing a silent “Moo-haa-haaaaa!” Cute.
@ Ben_David and Replay - yes, I think global weather patterns are changing, unfortunately. :-( It’s been very very unseasonably warm (much of it record-breaking) here in southeastern PA since summer - crazy hot for this time of year.
Yeah, Minnesota sounds about right. What a hard place to live. Well, I guess it makes mild weather that much sweeter.
Most places in Idaho get snow by Halloween, but not usually that much. Last week, I saw two days that had a light dusting of snow that melted off by 10AM.
I grew up in SE Wisconsin and I can remember it snowing a few times when I was trick or treating as a kid. We never got enough to stick because it wasn’t quite cold enough.
Here in Montana, some years we have gotten snow on Halloween. In my neck of the woods, the only month that I am aware of that it hasn’t snowed is August! As one of the other people posted, many people here design Halloween costumes with provisions for insulation (usually fleece) too as the weather can go most anywhere temperaturewise.
Starting Monday I will be turning in, not the spammers, but the website business site that they are providing the link for to our state’s attorney-general. He loves to prosecute spamming website owners.
Do the same for your state’s attorney-general; since go-comics doesn’t wish to help, then we can simply have the spammers owners fined out of existence.
Also, just the fact that Go-Comics will have government officials monitoring this site and asking questions may help to encourage them to stop the spammers instead of giving them shelter.

@ Tim; I still live in WNY. It’s not uncommon to have a prediction of snow or to at least have to prepare for near-freezing temperatures.
taker48 about 14 years ago
Well now, I’ve seen frost in September however Garfield’s idea looks original.

In Canada we always had to make the kids costumes large enough to accommodate a snowsuit, or at least 3 sweaters!

it snowed here too! in Canada! would you believe it? I love how Garfield uses the pumpkin, very original
Comic-Nut about 14 years ago
Yup, it snowed over a week ago here in northern Alberta.
For some of my American cousins … we are not in a state of constant freeze and frozen tundra all year here.
But then again, over the last few years, it seems like we only have two seasons. Spring and Winter. Our summers are getting shorter and shorter.

And ANOTHER eight flags! Oh, the humanity! As to Garfield…
His home isn’t all that far from me - Find Muncie, Indiana…
And while we aren’t having snow - it’s cold enough… at least early in the morning…

Snow at Halloween. What next? No snow at Christmas?

Garfield must be in Montana. Snowmen with Jack-o-lantern heads is normal here.
