No wonder Garfield sleeps so much!

Yeah. Now it needs pizza, lasagna, ice cream and well pretty much everything else and its a dream.

The Garfield picture on the title line looks just like he did in the 1970’s. Still fat, still sleeps all the time, still Garfield.

I see a new diet starting come monday…

Did anyone see FBOFW? It must be National Donut Week!

Next I see salad nightmares for our old friend.

In response to Supersurfer’s comment, I noticed the 70s Garfield there too. I wonder why Davis did that. Maybe for old time sake.

I would like to have dreams like this

It’s sweet food day in the comics, they’re everywhere. This should get rid of the craving for waffles the guys at the Pickles strip were having.

He always does a good title panel on Sunday, it’s my favorite thing about this cartoon.

Why don’t I get such dreams?????? :((((

I noticed his old self in the first panel also. And, I noticed he has lost some weight but his hind feet have grown.

PS: His eyeballs have also dramatically elongated in the vertical direction.

Huh … I didn’t even notice the ’70s Garfield in the logo box until you guys pointed it out. Garf’s birthday is on June 19th (the date of the first strip), so that’s not it. I guess Jim was just feeling nostalgic for today’s comic. Very interesting.

Reminds me of the “Sorcerer’s Apprentice”(Fantasia) all those brooms multiplying…
