Oh, please. The flying monkeys were the least scary thing about that movie. Now, the Wicked Witch of the West, SHE was terrifying!

I would understand if he was seeing that crazy boat ride from “Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory” but the wicked witches pretties?!

The flying monkeys never bothered me. Neither did Maleficent and any of the other usual suspects. But Monstro, the whale in Pinocchio? Time to hide under the chair!!

Cruella de Vil scared me, too, but not half as bad as Monstro.

My Dad took me ’n my sister to see The Thing in 1951 at the local outdoor theater. Thought that was scary ’til the “B” movie came on: The Man From The Planet X. That show was just shown recently on the TCM channel of DTV, and it still gives me the shivvers !!!

I saw “Trilogy of Terror” on the “ABC Movie of the Week” as a child.

    A. Why would they put something that terrifying on BROADCAST TELEVISION?

    B. My parents should have banned that particular baby-sitter. My brothers were even younger!

    C. I STILL can’t watch the part about the Zuni doll. Tried to watch it on YouTube a couple of years ago. Nope, nope, nope.

The flying monkeys are nothing compared to the wheelers in Return to Oz.

One of the scariest was the 1963 version of the Movie “the Haunting”. There were no monsters, flying monkeys or witches, but it was one scary movie.
