Garfield is correct as far as the timing of his celebration. We don’t need to be hearing about “Christmas” in October, November or any other time outside of December. A local radio station began its 24-hour “Christmas” music format in early November. Way too early for the limited playlist that features the same tired-out selections aired ad nauseum until the 25th.
Radio stations used to play the occasional holiday tune in December and save the 24-hour format for Christmas Eve (starting at noon) and Christmas Day; and these were usually presented commercial-free. I would like to know who came up with the idea of broadcasting this stuff in November. By December 25th you are so sick of it that you are glad the holidays are over. Not a good thing. The holiday season should be a special time of year, something to look forward to.
December 1st is early enough for the “Christmas” music, movies and store decorations. I put quotation marks around “Christmas” because what is being celebrated is greed, materialism and crass consumerism, not the holiday.
Just tryin to keep up. Decorations finally up outside? Check. Tree cut down in the forest going up primitive off roads( Whew) in my Subaru? Check. Decorations brought in from the garage? Check. House and tree decorated? Nope. Christmas shopping begun? Aaaaagh!

Careful Garfield. At your age you’re going to seriously hurt yourself doing that.
