Admittedly, cats are rather self centered but basically are just good pets, longing for that next meal. While dogs are loyal to the source of those meals, usually certain humans, cats only have loyalty toward the food. Lasagna, in Garfield’s case.
Farm cats don’t last long enough to drive you crazy. But we had an indoor cat for 14 years and she was great, Garfield is just needs a timeout now and then.
