They say if you exercise every day then you’ll live longer. But the time you spend exercising could be spent doing other things like say, enjoying your life. So in the long term does 30 minutes of daily self torture really improve your life at all?
Currently wearing my t-shirt with a T. rex chasing a stick man and the legend “Exercise – Some motivation required”. I once wore it to a physio session, The nurse (Never met her before) was a massive woman and took it personally. Oops!
Worked wholesale counter at a parts store 20 years ago. About 25 steps to second floor. I go up and them more than 50 times a day. At a doctor visit she ask do i do any exercising, I told her up and down those steps, she replied is that all you do!? You need to do more.
We have to walk the terriers and tuxedos separately because one of each pair is reactive. Working on the behavior, but it’s a slow process. So, we get lots of walking in.
Garfield, there must be some kind of exercise that you’ll like, something that involves food, like chasing the ice cream truck or the pizza delivery truck.
Garfield is right. Also that “No Pain No Gain” stuff , If it hurts I ain’t doing it. I live in the 21st Century, I do the Jetsons finger exercises, it is a push button world after all!

So what’s your excuse for hating it
Macushlalondra 4 months ago
It doesn’t take me 30 minutes to hate it, I can hate it inside of 5 minutes.

Maybe, but you don’t have to do anything to hate being fat.

All you need to do is not exercise 30 minutes a day to eventually regret it, health wise.

I mean, if you can manage 30 minutes before hating it you probably deserve a medal

Davis should exercise his pencil more, he is lazy

So very true. That is why I only exercise 10 minutes a day.

I can’t say I like exercising, but getting out of the house and socializing a bit with the guys I know at the gym/pool/locker room helps a lot.

You don’t need 30 minutes. All you need is a flight of stairs.

Sorry Garfield, apparently you need 29 minutes more than I do to hate exercise.

I’ve heard that the brain has a function where it produces dopamine when you exercise. Garfield appears to lack that function.

As a Cross Country runner, I also usually run in under that time

I can accomplish the same result in half the time…or on a good (or bad?) day even less.

Walking’s (and climbing stairs constantly) the only exercise I’ve ever gotten and it seems to have sufficed.
