It’s an amazingly accurate depiction of the actual description of how “coffee” tastes – and is included amongst foodstuffs that are truly amazing to ever have been ingested, initially – like escargot, oysters and kale…

At least it’s not the like time when Jon and Garfield went to the coffee bar while Jon was staggered by the fact that the coffee being served had lots of different names.

Hey, in the first place, how does Garfield know what chlorine and sunscreen taste like? What’s he doing behind our backs?

Yeah, no thanks. I like my coffee to be just coffee, plain and black. No adulterants or sweeteners thank you.

I don’t drink coffee?

When they come out with coffee flavored tea and tea flavored coffee, that’s it, I’m out.

when I worked at a well-known coffee shop chain, I was told the descriptions of the coffee and then had to "taste’ them to see what the definitions meant. Somehow they didn’t like my “descriptions” of “licking an ashtray” “chewing on charcoal” “inhaling a bonfire”. enjoyed the job but never could figure out why they couldn’t be more accurate in their descriptions.

It might not be the coffee. Jon could have used swimming pool water…before someone had a chance to pee in it.

That’s summertime.

Normally when people say “tastes like [undesirable flavor]” I question how they know what that tastes like. But in this case, we’ve all gotten sunscreeny sweat and pool water in our mouths.

Our water smells like chlorine coming out of the faucet in the summer because it is being heavily treated because of the algal bloom. Fortunately you can’t taste it when drinking the water!!!

Well perhaps it was left over from the summer, which is also why it tastes bad.
