Looks like another senior moment! No, wait! He’s waaaaay beyond that!

Yeah, Walt is like 111 now, by Scancarelli’s own admission. I wonder what’s going to happen.

I was reading some of Dick Moore’s 1960s strips though, and at that point Joel was older than Walt. So the mysteries continue….

Where are we going with this storyline?

What, the horseshoe cast by Capt. Jack’s horse? Not likely. Why would anyone have gone hunting on the road for that?

I love the way this story is developing. Not much action, but just the kind of stuff that makes Gasoline Alley fun to read.

I can hardly wait to see where this is going!

Not all comic strips need to move with the alacrity of “Dick Tracy”.

I still like the idea of Jim having Walt ‘pass on’ to the retired cartoon characters’ home. There he could be ageless, like so many others that have not been in regular stripes for years. Family and friends could visit Walt on the porch….. I have said all this before and just repeat it when thoughts of Walt’s mortality become a concern of others and/or as we get closer to another Valentine’s Day.

Shouldn’t that punchline have been “I don’t remember a garage – let alone a horseshoe?”
