Wow, the strip is really pushing its luck with the repetitive “oooh, might THIS be the end for Walt?” fakeouts. Like I said, it’s really all Walt gets used for nowadays.
I’d be happy to go off with Skeezix and Sarge, and “test the repairs” as well. (At least on a nicer day than this mid 40s and drizzly day Chicago’s drawn, heh.)
Where I *don’t want to be is in the Wallet house when Walt gets back with Judy, it looks like Phyllis is going to put her hubby in the deep freeze for screwing up a chance encounter!

Besides Skeezkix, Walt’s children included Judy and Corky. Over the years, each were featured in various strip arcs.
