Off topic, but it reminds me of an ad I saw: Someone read a paper by Einstein, and, handing it to a 2nd person, recommended it for publication. The 2nd person glanced at the beginning, and turned to the back. He was surprised and bothered that it had no bibliography. The 1st person said “He answered questions no one else thought to ask.”
Remember the Sunday strip a while back where he saw the pearly gates repeatedly, and it turned out they were doing CPR on him? That was right out of left field, and never referenced again.

Yay Walt! One of the few around who may have actually seen Bert Williams in concert.

Yeah, 2002. This one has played before and is still good.

No, growing old is not “mandatory”, Walt.
Think of all the people who died young, due to wars, domestic violence, OD’s, etc.

I started a new job in my 50s and when they talked about 401k plans, I realized how soon I was to retirement.

When the strip started gasoline-powered cars were the fun thing that brought the gang together in the alley. Now they’re a threat to the planet.
