Well, hopefully not ‘Final’ wish … ✨
Rufe says that like Walt is nearing the end. Will this lead to a humongous bodacious funeral for the old boy ?
Garfield is 44, which would make him the oldest cat who ever lived. No reason Mr. Walt can’t keep on keepin’ on.
I think Walt should live forever, but I also think it would be hilarious if he dies in a wacky garbage truck mishap.
Rufus trash talking to Ms. Melba about ol’ Walt!
Rufus can make an impassioned and persuasive request when he wants to.
Oh,great. Now everybody will think Walt’s at death’s door and the town undertaker will show up with his tape measure
“Final wish.” Come on now, we all know Walt’s never gonna be allowed to pass on, and it’s pretty messed up that Jim keeps doing dishonest hints to the contrary.
A few months later, after intensive preparation, it’s all set up.
“Mr. Walt, yo’ can ride on th’ back of the garbage truck!”
“Sounds dangerous. Why would I want to do that?”
Let Walt ride but strap him on with padding; he wont fall nor get banged up by the hard metal parts on bumps.
It could be a poignant time if the writer and illustrator is up to it.
