That kid is definitely too old to go see Santa. He’s probably only keeping up appearances for his parents in an attempt to maximize his haul. (He’ll also be “that” high school kid who puts on a cheap mask and hits up some houses on Hallowe’en, for the free candy.)

It was the night of no naps, and a full update for the conductor of the Classics Express. How about that!
We start with a follow on to yesterday’s strip of Skeex at the beach, and it’s a notable Frank King Sunday page, where he plays around with the typical 12-panel format. This one is so well known, it comes with a color companion.
Shady is saving more time every time he goes out to count his herd, while Horse’s Neck commends his war chief, even as he explains that besides weapons, there are more items in the toolbox for dealing with Kyute enemies.
Brenda was all ready to file her story, where she runs into a more interesting story – a crabby Santa! Hold the presses!!
And of course Rufus manages to hand the real Kitty out to one of the kids at the Christmas Party. Gonna be a lonely holiday in that drafty ol’ shack he’s renting from Pert.
D*mnable punk goes and hurts our hero, Joel…. and Nelson has been forcing Joel to be both sans pipe & sans jug too.
Joel is just too kind hearted and dedicated to a life of service to others…. if Joel could be said to have any fault at all…. this is it…. he is just too d*mn good of a soul for this world.
Hell, even his “buddy”, doofus-Rufus treats him like dirt at times.
My Christmas wish for Joel is for him to be able to high tail it out of this mall, and get back to the comforts of home…. and to give himself some well deserved rest…. along with several deep pulls from the jug and as many bowls of pipe tobacco in his pipe to nourish him as he would like.

That Joel should be treated that way. The ignominy.

All the other kids are attacking the hair puller now, because they didn’t get to talk to the real Santa.
