The Alley Cats don’t understand how the cats in the Alley are suddenly trying to converse with the humans.

    - – - -

It’s a full classics update for the 13th:

Rachel has her own inventory to do to make sure the robbers didn’t get any of her prized possessions.

It’s the agony of defeat for one half of Curly’s gang… as they have an encounter with the other half of Curly’s gang.

The Happy Hangover Show is on the air! And we await the awarding of the grand prize for the slogan contest.

Yes. Ha, ha. Aren’t you clever. I guess Fracas is standing in for Avery now, as he thinks he’s found a ‘clever’ angle to get more than his share of gasoline.

Obviously, Walt and Gertie never saw Dr. Doolittle(the version with Rex Harrison, not Eddie Murphy) and heard “Talk To The Animals.”

Before you know it the GA animals will start talking. They saw a talking bear and realize they all can talk too. Life will get interesting in the Alley now that they can speak to us in our language. The demands from felines will reach new intolerable heights of unbearability.

Was that supposed to be a punchline?

Cats understand everything we say, they just choose to ignore us.

Jimbo seems to have given up completely. He doesn’t even try for aj oke today, confident that the strip’s biggest fans, all twelve of them, have gotten their daily jollies just from seeing Walt even though he is mind-numbingly boring.

    Am I thirteen?

I saw the movie “Paddington”. His family spoke bear. But they were taught English by an explorer. One of the funniest things was when he said his name in bear. Of course, he wasn’t Paddington until he was found at Paddington Station looking for a home. He just somehow expected to easily find that explorer who promised the family a warm welcome if they ever came to England.
