Whatever happened to cats snubbing their food, at least for awhile?

So it got so late today, the management opted for a double update for the 16th and 17th:
Skeezix finds his postmark hobby has given him a leg up in class. It’ll also come in handy if he ever decides to go into telemarketing.
Curly makes some more excuses for shooting down half his gang, before telling his boss lady that he’s not getting paid to go up against a true professional like Hipshot Percussion. I guess Jessie only keeps him on now because it would be too embarrassing to fire the screw-up. But that means she’ll have to take care of Hip herself… HER way. Her way is at least a little more sporting than an ambush…
Happy Hangover tries to get a photo of their grand prize winner to plaster on the product.. it’s not working out too well. I’d have suggested bring in a portrait painter to get the glamorized image they want.
But with what they have to work with, it’s just not working. Unless someone we know comes up with a cunning plan to try and improve Nevera’s looks.
Pam, one of the gas bunnies – comes back to the garage for some gas, having been giving someone else the business – someone who would fill her up all the way. Only the other station has shot their entire load prematurely, by not rationing their supply. I hate it when that happens.
Looks like the only folks in the Alley who don’t use gasoline are laughing out of their hats as the rest of the city fumes for the lack of go go juice. Now Joel is going to go look for a rickety bridge to cross.
