How can a group of kids collectively have an adventure with “weeks” of space travel, do it all in their individual imaginations and be finished around 10 minutes later?

Here’s the classic comics update for the 22nd:
Skeezix gets a gift from the postmaster, and finds a bunch of places so obscure, many would disappear off the map within a decade. Troublesome CO, they closed that post office in 1935.. Rockawalkin MD, they abandoned their school in 1939. This strip did not age well.
Rick is at the table with Deuces, giving some action to a stranger who probably figured a hick town like Conniption would be easy pickin’s.
Brenda finally is ready, and presents herself to Lance, and she looks magnificent. Only it took her so long that it’s one look, and time for bed. No, not that way!!
It didn’t take Joel continuing to play Columbo for us readers to find out what all the fuss was about at City Hall. (At least some of all the fuss.)
I’ve been a GA fan since about 1965, but when I see this gang I just skip to Pluggers, the next on my list. Couldn’t Scancarelli come up with a plot of Sarge and Hack have grandchildren somewhere who come back to town to replace Slim? About time for him to retire anyway.
